It has a pretty decent weight capacity and it can freely be used by more than one person at the same time.
It’s quick and easy to install and a big bonus is that it comes with all the necessary tools you need.
What makes it unique and better?
The 15 ft. version has a fairly big jumping area of about 13 ft. in diameter and it’s perfect for beginners or intermediates who are into gymnastics.
You won’t have to worry about bending or flipping over because even if it doesn’t include ground anchors it is still very sturdy and well made.
It does come with a ladder and rain cover included so you won’t have to pay extra to get them elsewhere which is a big problem for some models.
What is interesting about this model is the fact that it uses a very big number of springs. I find this useful because that way you are going to have a better weight distribution and are going to have a stronger bounce.
Like all other models, this one still has a good safety net that uses zippers for easy entry and has an additional pad on the poles for extra safety.
Giantex uses additional cover to fill the gap between the springs and the mat so I would say this model is fairly safe to use even by smaller kids.
With the help of the included cover and easy assembly, you are going to make sure everything is going to stay in one piece during storms.
Everything is weather-proof so you won’t have to worry about rain, snow, sun or wind. It’s a great and affordable trampoline in your backyard.

What makes the fourth product unique is the square design and the very reasonable price you can get if for.
Because of the design, you are getting 20% more jumping space compared to traditional round trampolines with similar prices.
The square shape does also fit well in small spaces and it a great option for people with smaller available space.
Another great thing about this trampoline is that it uses even surface bounce meaning you can jump higher and have a better bounce.
The overall construction is the same as the first one meaning everything is well made and sturdy at the same time.
It uses a safety net with specially angled padded poles for additional freedom of movement and safety.

This product does come with all the necessary assembly tools, good instructions to follow and a 3-year frame warranty combined with a 1-year parts warranty.

5. Happy Trampoline – Galactic Xtreme Rectangular Trampoline – Best Premium Olympic Size Trampoline
Specifications
Shape | Size | Jumping area | Weight capacity | Springs | Price |
Rectangle | 10 x 20 ft. | 9.3 x 19 ft. | 550 lbs | 9” x 140 | $$$ |
We are going to finish our top 5 list with what it seems to be the most expensive trampoline.
What makes it unique and better?
I know that the price may seem too high for a lot of people but if you are looking for a purchase in the long term then you may see why it’s really worth it.
Paying higher price brings it’s most important benefits – premium quality, incredible endurance, and Olympic size jumping mat.
Yes, the 10 x 20 ft. size is exactly what Olympic athletes use and there is a reason behind this so if you can afford it go for it.
Everything is designed to give you the highest jumping with the best bounce. I recommend this product to people who are serious about gymnastics or aerobics and want to get to the next level.
As you can guess this type of equipment is extremely durable (it can hold up to 550 lbs), made from premium materials and it’s built to last many years ahead.
Because of the huge size and weight capacity, this outdoor trampoline can be used by many people at the same time.
The whole construction is quite heavy making it very sturdy and solid making it the perfect environment for learning new stuff.
This model uses a pretty tall safety net with additionally padded poles for extra safety so you won’t have to worry about falling down the ground.
And as you can see from the photo there aren’t any holes to step in because everything is well isolated and covered.
A little feature I really like is the fact that there is a logo in the middle of the jumping mat which does help a little with directions while you are in the air. It isn’t a surprise that everything is fully weatherproof.
It can withstand almost anything mother nature can throw it against – strong winds, snow, rain, prolonged sun and of course hundreds of hours of jumping.
And of course for the premium price you are paying you are getting the full package – all required assembly tools, ladder with wide steps and of course additional ground anchors you can use if you like.
To be completely honest people are very happy with this product and I don’t really see any big downside except for the higher price it does cost.
And of course, Acon does back up the quality with very long warranties: 10 years for the frame, 5 years for the mat, 2 years for the safety net and whole 5 years for the springs.
As you can see for yourself this product speaks only one thing – quality.

6 Things you should know before you buy an outdoor trampoline for gymnastics
As I have mentioned earlier buying decent jumping equipment isn’t going to be very cheap.
If you want to continue using it years ahead then I suggest you read the following things below.
I do believe they are a vital part of every quality product there is.
Is the shape of a trampoline important?
Yes, the shape of the trampoline you are going to use is really important because different shapes of trampolines come with unique differences. So depending on your needs you need to pick one of the 3 main types of trampolines:
- Circle
- Rectangle
- Square
As you will see below each type has its good and bad characteristics and it’s good to know them so you can choose the best shape for your needs.
Circle Shape Trampolines (Pros and Cons)

This is the most common type of outdoor trampoline you can see in people’s backyards. The main reason is that it’s the least expensive type and usually the safest to use.
Those two things are making it the best option for people just starting out in gymnastics who want to learn and feel safe at the same time.
The main difference between circle and rectangle or square shape is the way the springs are being used.
With a circular shape trampoline, you are going to use all the springs at the same time meaning you won’t get so much bounce effect because the time you hit the jumping mat again is not enough for the springs to get fully recovered.
That way you are losing in a way bounciness and with that height.
They are usually safer than rectangular or square ones because they tend to move you towards the middle of the jumping mat so it’s harder for you to get hurt while learning new gymnastic moves.
Even with cheaper price, there are still some amazing products with very good quality and characteristics.
Rectangle Shape Trampolines (Pros and Cons)

This is the shape used by professional gymnasts in the Olympics and that’s why they have a lot higher price than square or circular ones.
But I believe the investment is worth it because they give you plenty of space to use and have higher and better bounce than round trampolines.
The reason behind this is that because of their size and shape their springs work independently and the bounce energy is better transferred with every jump you do.
The higher you can jump the more time you will have to finish your gymnastic movements, etc.
Of course, there are still affordable models but the professional huge ones can become very expensive.
That’s mainly because they require more supports, better materials, have larger size, etc. And of course, they are used by professional gymnastics thought their careers.
So if you can spare a little extra and are looking for the best outdoor trampoline for gymnastics I would recommend you go for a rectangle one.
It’s going to help a lot with intermediate and advanced gymnastic moves.
Square Shape Trampolines (Pros and Cons)

This is the least known shape but it does exist.
Some people prefer it because it’s fairly affordable and brings the same jumping benefits as a rectangular trampoline but a lower price.
The square shape design usually takes less space and it’s easier to find a way to place it where you have very limiting available space.
Another thing I like about the square designs is that it utilizes 20% more jumping area than the circular one because of the shape.
You can still jump pretty high and have a good bouncing if you decide to use such type.
It’s a great choice for both beginners and intermediates looking to train regularly.
So which trampoline shape is the best one?
There isn’t really a best trampoline shape because all have their pros and cons but the best one you can get is the rectangular one because professional athletes in the Olympics train on them.
But if you can’t afford one you won’t make a mistake if you go with the square or circly shaped trampoline.
So depending on what are your needs and wants go for the shape you feel comfortable using.
How big should your trampoline be? Is the number of trampoline springs important?
I know what you are probably thinking:
“I should get the best outdoor trampoline for gymnastics which has the biggest and the meanest springs so that way I can have the highest jumps possible”.
Unfortunately doing that won’t certainly help a lot because the size of the jumping mat usually goes in a pair with the size of the springs.
That way a smaller outdoor trampoline that uses smaller springs will most likely do the same job as a much bigger one who uses bigger springs.
And as we have shared in the previous part the shape of the whole constructions does also play a part in how high can you jump.

Please have in mind that the bigger the size of the trampoline the higher the price you are going to have to pay.
Take in notice what available space you do have and go for something you can afford and place freely.
On the other hand, I do believe that the number of total springs does play a role in overall safety.
It’s simple physics:
The more total springs there are the more distributed the weight of the user/users will be.
That’s going to help with overall safety and it’s going to play some role in the whole durability because it may lower the risk of something potentially breaking.
Do your trampoline need to have enclosure net? Is it really necessary?
If you are using a trampoline in the gym or a specially designed training room then you won’t really need a catching net because everything around it is well isolated for extra safety but if you are using the trampoline in your back yard or outdoors and are still learning you will definitely need an enclosure net for safety.
In addition to that, there are also trainers and other people who are going to keep you safe and navigate you inside a training room.
So simply to put it you are in a safe environment that is specifically made that way.
It’s a totally different story in we compared it to your backyard or outdoor space where there isn’t much protection.

If for example, you decide to skip adding a safety net and decide to train without one thing can easily turn very bad. If you don’t believe me go to Youtube and see for yourself.
So if you don’t want to get injured or break something I highly recommend you invest in an outdoor trampoline who does have a pretty high and solid enclosure net.

That way you are going to make sure nobody is going to fall from it and injure himself.
And please let’s not ignore the dizziness that is caused by constant spinning and flipping movements.
For certainly it’s not your friend…
Luckily for you, all outdoor trampolines we have reviewed above do come with a pretty solid and high safety net in order to give you good protection.
Is trampoline’s jumping space important? How much space do you need to jump?
The bigger the overall size of the trampoline the bigger the jumping space you are going to have. Keep in mind that the amount of jumping space you get is directly correlated to the price you are going to pay but in general the more space you have the easier it is going to be for you to learn certain moves.
One thing you should know is that the actual size of the model doesn’t actually refer to the total jumping area.
For example, the standard size for an Olympic rectangle trampoline is 10’ x 20’ which gives you the biggest jumping space of about 9.3 x 19 ft.
The reason behind this is that the whole structure requires space for the springs to be attached to so expect the usable area to be little less than the product dimensions.

Also, it’s a good thing if you have read the previous [#1] so understand why square and rectangular-shaped do have more jumping area than the circle one.
So before you get depressed because you can’t afford a gigantic Olympic sized trampoline I want to tell you that you don’t need to have that much space to be able to progress and learn new stuff.
An average-sized trampoline of about 15 feet can do the job just right.
Of course, before you pick a size it’s good to know the answers to some of those questions:
- How big is your budget?
- How many people are going to use it once – 1,2,3, etc.?
- What are their sizes – height and weight?
- How much jumping space do you want to have and how much do you really need?
- How much available free space do you have for an outdoor trampoline in your yard?
- etc.
Having a simple answer to some of these questions is going to make things a lot clear for you so you can make the right decision.
Quick Tip:
Before you decide which size trampoline you are going to buy it’s a good idea to use a measuring tape and some materials to physically create the shape and size you want. That way it’s going to be a lot easier to figure it out because you will see exactly what you need.
Trampoline Safety & Durability – Everything you need to know
When buying equipment I believe these 2 things are vital and determine if a product is good or not.
Let’s see what are those specific things that are going to show us how good is a certain product.
Aim for only products that have most of those things included.
Should you care about your trampoline’s weight capacity? Is weight capacity important?
One of the first things you have to check in a product is what is the total weight capacity.

Depending on how many people are going to use them, their age, height or weight make sure to buy a trampoline that does have a surplus of what weight capacity it’s going to hold on a regular basis.
The higher the number your trampoline has the better safety you are going to get.
A good rule of thumb is not to buy a trampoline that has less than 250 pounds of weight capacity because it can be dangerous!
Gap Between Springs and Mat
Another safety-related thing you should check is if there is a gap between the springs and the mat.
I have seen many bad injuries caused by leg/legs getting stuck into such tight spaces which can lead to bad injuries.
In order to avoid such concerns buy an outdoor trampoline that has no visible gap and uses a thick and well-made cover to conceal it.
There are even some designs that are very clever made so the gap is specially placed on the outer side of the safety net. That way users are completely safe.
Trampoline’s Enclosure net
If you decided to go for a trampoline with enclosure net (which I commend) check if the poles holding the net do have padding.
That way anybody using the trampoline will be extra safe to use the net if needed.

It won’t be nice to hit your head on a piece of metal right?
Another factor is to check how tall is it and how easy and fast it is to open and close it.
At first, that may seem to be something unnecessary but you will understand when the zipper breaks and you are left with a big hole you have to deal with.
Should you trampoline be sturdy?
Yes, because of the huge amount of movement all around the base a sturdy trampoline base is essential so make sure to find out how sturdy the whole construction is.
Especially if you don’t want the whole thing to flip over while being used or with the help of some high winds.
That is usually determined by the total weight of the structure and where is distributed.
If everything is big and heavy flipping it over is almost impossible but if for example, everything is pretty lightweight you would have to anchor it for additional safety.

Speaking of that check if the outdoor trampoline comes with a good way to be secured to the ground.
Some types of ground anchors are going to do the job right.
If the model you like doesn’t come with an anchoring system keep in mind that you will have to buy it additionally which is going to somewhat increase the total price of the product.
Do you need a weatherproof trampoline?
If you are looking for a trampoline you are going to use outdoors then absolutely. Go for a weatherproof trampoline that has all basic weather protections against sun, water and strong wind in order to last a long time in the outside world.
For beginners, you want a product that can easily withstand rain, snow, strong winds, sunlight and regular use.

A good way to find out how good a product really is if to see if all the metal parts have a good anti-rust layer and all the other parts are made with thick and solid materials that won’t easily tear by the wind and fade away and lose durability from the sun.
Another thing you would want to check is if the jumping mat and the enclosure net do have some sort of UV protection.
If they do that is a really good thing and it’s going to help with the overall durability.

Finally, if the product does come with an additional rain cover that a nice bonus because it’s going to help you keep everything safe during the cold months and big storms.
Quick Tip:
A good practice you can do to find out how durable a specific product is to check what previous owners have to say. Of course, aim for the majority and see if there are any repeatable problems that occur.
Additional Things You Should Know About Trampolines
Even with those things out of the way, there are some additional things it’s always good to check before you order a good outdoor trampoline for gymnastics.
Let’s check them out…
How much does an outdoor backyard trampoline cost?
Most outdoor backyard trampolines and sold of about $200 to $800 and do a pretty good job in a period of 1 to 2 years. Sadly very often after than period things start breaking, falling apart, etc.

Of course, that’s not the case for every product out there but it is the usual path most take.
I believe that’s why some brands do offer parts warranties exactly in this time period.
If you have the budget I would recommend you invest in a premium product which costs $2000+, because everything is built to last way longer and you won’t need to replace certain parts in the near future.
In other words, paying the higher price now, it’s going to cost you cheaper in the long term.
Trampoline Warranty? – Is it important?
Before you order a certain trampoline it’s always good to know what does the warranty cover and for what period.
From what I have seen I’m a hard believer that the longer warranty a certain brand presents, the overall quality of the product you are going to get.
When it comes to warranties and trampolines you are going to see big-time increases with higher prices.
Should you trampoline come with additional markings?
Some models do come with a logo or a mark found in the middle of the mat that could be very useful for navigation during flips, etc. so it is recommended to get a model that offers this feature.

Even if a product you like doesn’t have one it’s not really such a big deal because you can easily make yourself one if needed.
What’s included in the package

It’s good to know what’s really included in the package you are going to order.
That’ important because you want to know if you are going to get everything you need in it.
I’m talking about important things like:
- Easy to understand instructions (it’s going to save a lot of time and headaches)
- Rain cover (it does help with snow and storms)
- All the necessary assembly tools (it saves you time and money)
- Small ladder (great for helping you get on and off – especially for small kids, etc.)
- Under the trampoline enclosure net (extra safety for children and pets)
- Mounting to the ground anchors (can help with stability and strong winds),
- etc.
Have in mind that if you are missing some things you want to have you are going to have to buy them separately which is going to cost additional money.
Try finding out their cost and add it to the total price.
How easy it is to assemble the trampoline?
Finally, it’s good to know the details about the assembly process before you had to do it.
For example:
How many people are going to need, what tools, are they included, are the instructions good, etc.
You can easily find all that information from the product page and review section.
Bonus:
Here’s a quick video that can give you some basic understanding of what you have to do to manually assemble a trampoline at home:
Take everything just as an example because the model you may have to assembly could be totally different from what is shown in the video meaning everything can be quite different.
Final Thoughts
I hope you managed to drink your cup of tea or coffee you have prepared earlier because we have close to the end.
At this point (if you have read everything) you should have a clear understanding of what is important in a trampoline and why.
Of course, we may have missed something so feel free to tell us in the comment section below.
Please make real usage of all the information gathered here and make a good buying decision you would enjoy in the long term.
I would highly recommend you go for a product in our top 5 list but even if you don’t you still are going to have a far better chance of getting something nice now.
If you have difficulties choosing which one to pick my recommendation is going to be to check the Skywalker Rectangle Trampoline.
For that price, nothing does really come close to it. It has everything you need and it’s going to do an excellent job for flipping, twisting, etc.

Quick Tip:
Gymnastics goes hand in hand with strength training so it’s always a good thing to combine a nice trampoline training with strength type of training.
That can be easily done at home with the help of a good pull-up bar, a set of gymnastic rings or parallettes. And don’t forget to use proper chalkand wrist wraps while using them!
If you want to learn more awesome stuff and get even better results I highly recommend you to check our equipment and guides pages.
Give it a try and who knows, you might find something interesting…
